About Just Nori Art

A novice painter. In early 2025, I transitioned from a corporate career in the suburbs of Philadelphia to the casual life in Bluffton, SC. When asked how I planned to spend my free time, I lightheartedly said, “I plan to embrace my passion for art, I’m going to paint!” 

I set up a rough but ready studio in our Carolina room. I invested in an easel, canvases, and paints. I have not put my brushes down since. I have paint on my chin, and t-shirts, and drips on my floor, but I love every minute. 

As I mentioned, my husband and I live in the low country. The beautiful skies, marshes and views of nature have inspired me to explore vibrant colors and bold designs that reflect my surroundings.

Will this be a profitable career, doesn’t have to be. Painting is a wonderful way to spend my mornings and afternoons. I hope one of my pieces will make you look a little closer, or put a smile on your face, or a daydream in your heart. Enjoy!

Nori is a nickname from my nieces, a shortening of my formal name Maria Leonora Lucci.
