Who is Nori?
Who is Nori? For years I would have described myself in many ways: a mom, a loving wife, a proud nonna, a dedicated and hard worker. However, there was always something missing, hidden deep within. Now, I can confidently say that in addition to all of those other blessed monikers, I can truly call myself an artist!
After almost 30 years in the corporate world of the Philadelphia suburbs, I moved down south, adopted a more casual lifestyle fit for southern living, and emerged from my chrysalis as the artist that has always been within. When asked how I planned to fill my days after the move, I would lightheartedly reply, “I plan to embrace my passion for art and paint!” True to my word, I set myself up with a studio in our Carolina room, filled with easels, canvases, and paints and have not put my brushes down since. Most days, I have paint on my chin and t-shirts, there are drips on my floor, but I am loving every minute. Painting is more than just a wonderful way to fill my days, it has become my way of life. I live for my art! And in doing so, I have opened myself to explore other mediums and techniques that I was too shy to ever stray into before. This feeling of rightness is what I am hoping to share with everyone who sees my art. It may not be everyone's style, but that is the beauty of art. It is as unique as each individual who views it. I truly believe that my art shows just how much I love creating it! I hope one of my pieces will make others feel the same way, make you look a little closer, put a smile on your face, or a daydream in your heart. Enjoy!

Where You May Have Seen Just Nori Art
I started showing my work and have sold pieces with SOBA and the Art League of Hilton Head, where you can regularly find my paintings. My prints, home decor, shell work and more can be seen in the many local festivals, from Burnt Church Distillery to Margaritaville, Sip and Shop, and more. You can also find my blue tent when I am holding a pop up sale.
My Vision
Like many artists, I am heavily inspired by my surroundings. The beautiful skies, marshes, and views of nature have driven me to explore the more vibrant colors and bolder designs that reflect my everyday environment.
